#iRU begins! Kevin McAllister talks about why the cloud is not ready for you (yet)

Kevin McAllister kicks off inRESONANCE University Spring 2011 with a talk about why “the Cloud” is not ready for you (meaning schools).

Kevin discusses the advantages and drawbacks of moving your data to the Cloud and makes some convincing arguments that, right now, moving a school’s data to the cloud is an expensive solution to an inexpensive problem. He continues to say that much of what the cloud has to offer is left unused by a typical school’s workflow. After listening to his talk, one can definitely understand that moving ones data to a monolithic, cloud-based solution might not be the right thing for schools, yet.
