    23rd Aug 2007 [writing](https://stevenjaycohen.com/tag:writing#body-wrapper)

I just entered a script of mine into a [Screenwriting Competition](https://web.archive.org/web/20080926081950/https://www.bbc.co.uk:80/writersroom/opportunity/red_planet.shtml). The judges are [Stephen Fry](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000410/), [Mark Gatiss](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0309693/), [Julie Gardner](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0307005/), and [Tony Jordan](https://web.archive.org/web/20121023201706/https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0430210/). I remember the days of being too scared of rejection to even submit my writing. Those days are long gone. Now is the time to be proactive. In five years, I hope to be making my living by my writing. So now, I throw down the gauntlet and challenge myself to get my stuff out there — everywhere!
