# Should GaSP leverage Google Friend Connect? I need your opinions!

 [Google Friend Connect](https://web.archive.org/web/20131216052934/https://www.google.com/friendconnect/home/overview) offers a lot of features that are on my To Do list for [GaSP](https://code.google.com/p/gasp-web-engine/). And, I have been keeping GaSP lean and fast in part by leaning on existing packages where I can. At this point, the only [code duplication](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duplicate_code "Duplicate code") that I have would be the Comment System. It would be deprecated in favor of Friend Connect Comments.

What are your opinions on Friend Connect? I like that it is yet another [Google](https://www.google.com "Google") technology for me to master. And, that it would move almost all of the administrative functions over to Google. Then again, I enjoyed writing the Comment System. And, I would be a bit sad to [deprecate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deprecation "Deprecation") it.
